Dear Heavenly Father,
You are the Most High God. You are the beginning and the end, and You have all power in Your hands. You are full of grace and mercy, and I’m so thankful for the privilege and honor to pray to You. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, I apologize for all the wrong things that I have done. Your Word says in 1Corinthians 6:19-20(NLT) “Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.” Forgive me for going against Your Word. Please forgive me for allowing my flesh to lead my decisions and for dishonoring my body temple. I have made mistakes, but Your Word tells me that You are a loving God that forgives our sins, so I thank You for forgiving me. Please help me to be better.
Dear Lord, I desire to be better for You, for myself, and for the child(ren) You have so wonderfully blessed me with. I realize that even though I made a mistake, my child is not a mistake. Please help me to live in such a way that I instill within my child(ren) how overjoyed I am to have them in my life. Thank You for helping me to do those things that build him/her/them up and not tear him/her/them down. Thank You for giving me increased wisdom and insight to know when he/she/they are heading in the wrong direction, so that I can handle any and every situation with the strength, power, wisdom, and authority of Christ.
Father, You have blessed me, so that I can give this blessing back to You. In every way that a parent can, I give my child(ren) totally to You, and I thank You for blessing him/her/them all the days of his/her/their life/lives. You have chosen me to be a steward over him/her/them, and I will be diligent with this responsibility. Your Word instructs us in Proverbs 22:6(NIV), “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” From this, I understand that I am legacy builder. I am committed to making sure that I teach my child(ren) Your Word, so that he/she/they will teach his/her/their children Your Word. Thank You that the legacy I build with my family will be built on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ. Thank You that the bloodlines of my child(ren) going forth will produce generations of men and women that will stand on the truth of Your Word through the Lord Jesus Christ.
Father, thank You for leading, guiding and directing me, so that I do not fail You in raising my child. Thank You for allowing the Holy Spirit to minister to me so that my child will bring You great honor. Thank You, Father, that my child will hunger after Your Word, that they will run the race You have set before them in the fullness of Christ. In the powerful and precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
