Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before Your throne of mercy, as humbly as I know how. I give You all the glory and honor in the name of Jesus Christ. You are awesome and amazing! You are all-powerful and majestic beyond what any of us can imagine. We owe You our very lives, and I thank You for saving me and for choosing me as Your son. I can do nothing without Your love, grace, and mercy. For this I humbly and gratefully say, thank You!
It is a wonderful blessing to be called out from among the world to be Your very own! It brings me joy to know that I can live with purpose, because You carved out my purpose before the foundation of the world. You have made it so clear that You desire an intimate relationship with me. It is my joy and responsibility to spend time with You every single day. You have filled me with Your strength and wisdom, and because of this, I can do the right things and make good choices.
Father, I know that I’ve made many mistakes in my life but every time that I come to You and ask for forgiveness, You give it to me, and You remember my sins no more. I want to be the man You’ve destined me to be. I don’t want to keep making the same choices and decisions that have led me down the wrong paths in the past. I have not always been faithful in my relationships with women, and I have not treasured them according to the standard of Your Word. Please forgive me. Please forgive me for not always walking in integrity, but instead, I acted selfishly, doing those things that served and benefited me. Forgive me for causing others to sin, and for causing injury to their relationship with You. Please help me, Father, to make better choices than these.
I desire to have a family. Thank You for blessing me with a Godly woman that honors and respects You. I desire to build a life with the woman that You have ordained to walk with me through life. Thank You for blessing me with a wife that is a helper, friend, and wonderful mother for our children. I promise You that I will make every effort to love my wife and family as You command in Ephesians 5:25. I will place their welfare ahead of my own, for this is what pleases You. I know that I am not perfect, but I am being perfected in Christ as You teach me through Your and through Your Spirit that indwells me. I want You to be pleased with the man I am, and I thank You for blessing me all the days of my life. Amen.
