"Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty." Psalm 91:1(NLT)
Dear Heavenly Father,
You are Holy, and there is no other that is like You. Only You are worthy to be praised! In the name of Jesus Christ, I come to you as humbly as I know how. 1John 1:9(NLT) tells us, “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” Thank You for forgiving all my sins, Heavenly Father. I am sorry for all the things I have said, thought, felt, and done that were contrary to Your Word and Will. I acknowledge there are sins that I’m aware of and there are also sins that I haven’t been conscious of. I may have been offensive and said something hurtful to someone without realizing it. I’m sorry for all this and thank You for helping me to be better according to Your Will and purpose for my life.
Father, I have experienced a lot of hurt from people that I thought loved me. They broke my heart, and I am realizing that I have so much on the inside of me that needs to get out. I need to confront my pain through Your love so that You can do Your healing work within me. I haven’t fully forgiven those that have wounded my heart. I haven’t been able to get past the anger about it. I need your help because of the thoughts and feelings I sometimes have against those people, and towards myself.
Psalm 91:1(NLT) says, “Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” Thank You for keeping me in Your shelter. I need the kind of rest that only You can offer. I need rest for my soul. I want to forgive myself, forgive others, and find a way to get all these unresolved issues out of my heart. I don’t know the way, but I know that You do. Your Son, Jesus Christ, said in John 14:6(NLT), “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” I surrender totally to You through Your Son, Jesus Christ. I surrender my doubts and fears, and I surrender my not knowing what to do and how to do it. I invite You into my heart, and I have full faith and trust that You will do a healing work within me through the Spirit of Christ.
There are times when I wake up in the morning and the anger, guilt and hurt feelings meet me as soon as I open my eyes. Right now, in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I plead his blood over my life. You say in 2Corinthians 5:17 that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. Because of what Jesus accomplished on the cross, our old life is gone, and a new life has begun. Thank You for giving me a new life through Christ! Please help me to embrace it fully as well as all the healing and love it brings. Thank You for giving me a life filled to the brim and oozing over with Your love, and thank You for helping me walk in the Spirit so that I can love others through Your abundant love.
Thank You that I have all I need in Christ to live a victorious life, and thank You for helping me to recognize and take steps to open doors that are filled with opportunities and blessings. Thank You for Your healing power being activated through my conversations, thoughts, feelings, and deeds. As I love through Christ, thank You that I will unify, bring peace, and fortify myself as well as others as I seek to be a blessing. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
